Commissioner Mirpur Chaudhry Shaukat Ali has said that the sports activities play an important role in highlighting the mental and physical abilities of male and female students along with their education.
He appreciated the girl students who played the volleyball match. The talent of our volleyball players is not less than the national women’s team. He stressed that the Women sports stadiums should be built so that our women players also get a chance to join the national team.
He expressed these views while speaking at the prize distribution ceremony as a special guest in the volleyball match in the spacious hall of Government College in the context of Jashn E Baharan festival.
Director General Sports Youth and Culture Mehrban Rashid Chaudhry, Director Sports Amjad Ali Mughal, Deputy Director Sports Sardar Mohammad Yasin, Counselor Ms. Shah Bano Zafar, DEO Women Ms. Farida Akbar, Principal Kalyal Girls School Ms. Manza Kokb, Principal Chatur Padi were present in the ceremony. Girls School Sahira Yusuf, Information Officer Mohammad Javed Malik, along with Basharat Bhatti, female teachers, students and people related to sports participated.
The final of the girl’s volleyball was played between Mirpur Green of Government Girls School Kalyal and Mirpur Red of Chitrapadi School. The teams fought fiercely and the team of Girls School Kalyal won the match and were declared the winner while Mirpur Red were the runner-up.
Commissioner Chaudhary Shaukat Ali gave the winner trophy to the captain of the winning team. At the end of the match, the performance of the volleyball players was highly appreciated and they were congratulated for playing the best game.
