The American Music Awards have released the list of favorite K-pop performers and favorite K-pop ensembles for the 2022 candidates.
The nominated list for the American Music Awards was made public on October 13. According to Billboard, the nominees are chosen based on fan engagements, which include streaming, album sales, song sales, radio airplay, and tours.
The nominees cover the time period from September 24, 2021, to September 22, 2022, and are tracked by Billboard and Luminate (formerly MRC Data).
Six new categories, including Favorite K-pop Artist, have been added to the American Music Awards this year.
The musicians nominated in this category include BLACKPINK, BTS, SEVENTEEN, TXT, and TWICE.
On November 21, 2021, a live broadcast of the event will be made from the Microsoft Theater at L.A. Live in Los Angeles.
