The ongoing health department initiatives in South Punjab have been increased from 10 billion to 16.5 billion rupees. 

Multan: Due to the special interest of Punjab Health Minister Dr. Muhammad Akhtar Malik, the ongoing schemes of the health department in South Punjab have been increased from 10 billion to 16.5 billion rupees. More than 50% of the development schemes of South Punjab have been fully funded. Secretary Health South Punjab Muhammad Iqbal and  the meeting of District Health Authorities of South Punjab under the chairmanship of Secretary Primary and Secondary Health Care South Punjab Mohammad Iqbal.
In the meeting, the progress of work on ongoing development schemes was reviewed.
Additional Secretaries Qamar-ul-Zaman Qaisrani, Shahid Abbas Joya and Deputy Secretary Sheikh Muhammad Tahir participated in the meeting. Program Directors Dr. Mehboob Hasnain Qureshi, Dr. Musrat Farhan and Dr. Rao Zafar also participated. Chief Executive Officers of all District Health Authorities, Building Department and IDP officers of the respective districts also participated.
In the meeting, the issues of division wise ongoing development schemes were discussed.
In the meeting, 176 schemes of the Primary and Secondary Health Care Department in South Punjab were reviewed.
