UAE to resume work visas for Pakistanis: UAE ambassador

Islamabad: Salem Al-Zaabi, the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Pakistan, has announced that work visas for the Pakistani workforce will soon be resumed for the UAE, with preparations currently underway.

He shared these views during a meeting at the UAE Embassy with a delegation led by Syed Rahmat Ali Shah, Chairman of the Pakistan Overseas Employment Promoters Association (POEPA). The delegation included POEPA Secretary General Mumtaz Siddique, former Chairman Syed Habib Ali Shah, the Chairman’s Special Assistant Shakeel Abbasi, and Executive Member Tariq Javed.

Earlier, upon the delegation’s arrival at the embassy, Salem Al-Zaabi extended a warm welcome and stated that the bond of friendship and brotherhood between Pakistan and the UAE is historic and everlasting. Appreciating POEPA’s efforts in supplying skilled manpower to the UAE, he remarked that the role of Pakistani brothers in the Emirates’ development and progress is unforgettable.

On this occasion, POEPA Chairman Syed Rahmat Ali Shah commended Salem Al-Zaabi for his diplomatic efforts in strengthening the fraternal ties between Pakistan and the UAE. He affirmed that the skilled Pakistani workforce is playing, and will continue to play, a robust role in the UAE’s development and prosperity.
