Islamabad: President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry has said United States should reconsider its policy of strengthening relations with India and take into account the substantial track record of human rights violations in India.
While commenting on the current visit of Indian Prime Minister Modi to USA, he said that that America wants to strengthen its relations with India and put down China.
the world is aware that the injustices and oppression faced by minorities in India, especially the people of occupied Kashmir are being witnessed by the whole world.
The President said that even when Modi addressed the US Congress, many members of Congress, including Congresswoman Ilhan Omar, boycotted his speech.
The former US President Barack Obama also stated in a recent interview that what Modi is doing with minorities in India can be dangerous for the integration of India.
President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry said that the US government is increasing its ties with India to undermine China in terms of geopolitical politics. However, they should understand that the facade of India’s claim to be the world’s largest democracy has been exposed, and the Modi government is crushing the minority communities, especially Muslims in India, and perpetuating tyranny on the people of occupied Kashmir.
“India must realize that its reign of coercion will not last long, and it will have to face the consequences. India will soon crumble due to Modi’s foolish Hindutva policies, and it will be shattered into pieces. Therefore, before intensifying ceremonial gestures with India to undermine China, it should be kept in mind that Modi has already made life difficult for minority communities in India.”, the President added.
Barrister Sultan said that India has brought significant changes in occupied Kashmir since August 5th 2019, for suppressing occupied Kashmir. The international community is well aware of the atrocities against minorities in India and the violations of human rights in occupied Kashmir.
