The Prime Minister Sardar Tanvir Ilyas Khan has said that the PTI led government held local bodies elections in Azad Jammu and Kashmir after 32 years.
He said this in his message issued from his office on occasion of completion of local bodies election in AJK. The PM AJK said that as the election process of local bodies in AJK is completed, now the devolution of power at grass root level would be carried out that would result in development with swift pace in the area.
He said that it is the vision of PTI Chairman Imran Khan that the only solution to mitigate the sufferings of the people is the local bodies polls.
“It was a promise that was included in the PTI’s election manifesto to hold local bodies polls in AJK and we have fulfilled our pledge. We will realize another promise of bringing development in AJK according to the expectations of the people”, PM AJK added.
Sardar said that the youth in a large number emerged victorious in the local bodies polls, which reflects the rising political awareness of the Kashmiri people. The young generation is the asset that would bring positive change in AJK.
He said that the PTI won the landslide victory in AJK. Out of 10 district council chairmen, the party gained seven seats, which shows the confidence of the people of AJK in Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf.
He felicitated those who have won the local bodies elections in AJK and hoped that they will utilize their full potential as public representatives and leave no stone unturned for the progress and prosperity of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
