President Azad Jammu and Kashmir Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry said that the government of Azad Kashmir will continue to encourage workers and their dignity will also be maintained. May 1st commemorates the sacrifices of workers, labourers and farmers who laid down their lives for their rights.
He said that this day is a recognition of the importance of workers and workers are the economic development of the country. Our religion emphasizes the principles of social justice and respect for people’s rights.I pay tribute to all labor professionals around the world.
President AJK said that in 1886 the workers of Chicago raised their voice for their rights and gave them the awareness to develop their courage and organization. The concept of sacrifice and respect for hard work is a spirit in this movement.
On this day we have to pledge that we will work in good faith for national development and the government of Azad Kashmir will protect the rights of workers, laborers and farmers and take all possible steps for their welfare.
