Oxygen incident report submitted to KP Government

PESHAWAR: The chairman BoG Dr Nadeem Khawar along with its inquiry members submitted its oxygen incident report to the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.The BoG on 22nd Dec 2020 order no 3410/BoG/MTI-KTH issued charge sheet to Dr Tahir Nadeem Khan BPS 20 and repatriated to his parent department and his contract as hospital director MTI KTH is cancelled and withdrawn with immediately effect. Similarly the BoG also issued charge sheet to Dr Muhammad Zafar Afridi and Dr Nek Dad Afridi the then hospital directors who failed to perform their administrative duties in their tenure to address this sensitive issue, they are asked to submit report within 7 days. BoG recommended that the post of BoG should be re-advertised. The subcommittee submitted its report to the BoG on 21st Dec 2020 in light of which the Board of Governor issued Enforcement of major penalty under section 7.3.2 under which show cause notices were issued to Ali Waqas Supply Chain Manager, Bilal Khan Biomedical Engineer, Niamat Ali Oxygen Plant Assistant, Shahzad Akbar Oxygen Gas attendant and they are asked submit their replies within 7 days, if the accused wants to be heard personal by the committee they can contact the members. Yousaf Jamal Manager Human Resource and Tahir Shahzad Manager Facilities will be working in MTI KTH till 31st Dec 2020 and their contracts will not be extended any further. Abdul Wahid AC plant helper is not involved in the incident. He was present on his duty and hence exonerated. The BoG warned Medical Director Prof Dr Amer Azhar for strengthening for early warning system in clinical wards and intensive care. The present BoG in their limited time period performed excellently and tried their level best to provide their knowledge and skill to the management of MTI KTH/KMC/KCD in form of policy making, financial guidance and all kind of support to improve the performance of these institutions.Since 6th Dec 2020, the three member committee was working day and night to conduct independent unbiased investigation. They heard all the clinical and non-clinical employees to reach a decision where justice can be served and culprits can be held accountable. The BoG committed from Day One said that the reality behind the incident will be brought in front of general public and the stood by their words. All the five members of BoG submitted their resignations keeping in view the high moral ground, dignity and integrity.
