At the UK and North American box offices, The Legend of Maula Jatt surpasses Akshay Kumar’s Ram Setu and Sidhart Malhotra’s Thank God.
Two recent Bollywood films, The Legend of Maula Jatt from Pakistan and the Diwali releases Ram Setu, starring Akshay Kumar, Sidharth Malhotra, and Ajay Devgn, both faced fierce competition domestically. Two weeks after its debut, the movie which stars Fawad Khan, Humaima Mallick, Hamza Ali Abbasi, Mahira Khan, and others is still outperforming the two Indian movies at the US and UK box offices, earning $56,586 and $46,825 respectively.
The Legend of Maula Jatt brought in an astounding $46,825 from 56 screens in the UK on its thirteenth day of release, according to Bollywood Hungama.
Ram Setu brought in $48,330 from 354 screens, and Thank God brought in $40,358 from 228 screens in North America, while The Legend of Maula Jatt brought in $56,586 from 90 screens in the US.
The publication claimed that despite the Bollywood films having more screenings, their box office receipts in both markets fell short of those of the Pakistani blockbuster.
The Legend of Maula Jatt’s executive producer, Ammara Hikmat, revealed on Monday that the movie grossed Rs. 1 billion globally in its first 10 days of release. Additionally, it has broken the record for the highest-grossing Punjabi movie in the UK.
