Mass protests in AJK to appeal G20 members for boycott its venue in disputed state

Muzaffarabad: Chairman Pasban-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir Uzair Ahmed Ghazali has said that India wants to hold G20 summit to prove its forced sovereignty over Jammu and Kashmir and to cover up its war crimes.

In a statement issued here Wednesday, he said that the Kashmiri have rejected Indian actions and military occupation in disputed state of Jammu and Kashmir.

He said that an appeal for boycott campaign from the member countries of G20 forum, especially Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Indonesia and the neighboring country China is on-going in all the district headquarters of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

He said that after the successful public demonstrations in Muzaffarabad, Athmuqam, the next protest procession will be held on May 5th after Friday prayers in Hattian Balan of Jhelum Valley district.

Similarly on May 9th at 10:30, a protest would be held at Main Chowk in Dhirkot city and at 2 o’ clock in Bagh city on the same day.

Uzair Ahmed Ghazali said that our sisters, brothers, children, elders and our mothers are living under the strict siege of India’s brutal forces in the state occupied by India.

“After August 5, 2019, Narendra Modi has turned the entire state into a prison and now the Indian government is plotting to use the G20 meeting as a shield to consolidate the its occupation of the state against public opinion”, Uzair stated.

He appealed the people of Azad Kashmir to play their role to save the unity and identity of the state while participating in the protests against India and raise appeal to the G20 countries to boycott the highly controversial meeting in the disputed area of ​​Srinagar.

Ghazali added that India wants to hold this summit to prove its sovereignty over Jammu and Kashmir, while the people of the state are holding mass protests to reject its forced sovereignty and military occupation and exposing the nefarious intentions of the Bharatiya Janata Party to the world.

He also praised the Kashmiri people who resist for the freedom of the state and the right to self-determination besides standing as a leaden wall in front of Indian oppression and tyranny.
