The Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan, Haji Gulbar Khan, has directed to ensure peace, security, and adherence to moral values during the holy month of Muharram.
While speaking to a first introductory session of the GB cabinet .meeting, after assuming the oath of his post, the CM said that all administrative, police, and other relevant departments at the district and divisional levels are instructed to ensure strict compliance with the code of conduct set for Muharram.
The Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan has formed a seven member parliamentary committee under the leadership of the GB Interior Minister to oversee the overall situation and facilitate communication, ensuring peace, administrative measures, interfaith harmony, and promotion of unity among Muslims.
The Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan instructed the parliamentary committee to maintain continuous communication with the relevant departments and institutions and monitor the situation of peace and security.
The Chief Secretary and Inspector General of Police Gilgit Baltistan also attended the meeting.
