Women University Mardan Celebrates Türkiye Republic Day, Strengthening Pakistan–Türkiye Friendship۔

Mardan ( From Khurshidwahab) Women University Mardan (WUM) marked the Republic Day of Türkiye with a vibrant and dignified ceremony celebrating the deep-rooted friendship between Pakistan and Türkiye. The event featured cultural performances, engaging speeches, and interactive exchanges, highlighting the shared history, mutual respect, and strong bilateral cooperation between the two brotherly nations.

Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Razia Sultana expressed her thoughts on the longstanding relationship between the two countries, stating:
“We are honored to celebrate the Republic Day of Türkiye at Women University Mardan. Pakistan and Türkiye share a time-tested friendship, rooted in shared history, culture, and values. Our nations have consistently stood by each other, fostering cooperation in education, defense, and economic development.
As academia, we recognize the importance of cultural exchange and knowledge sharing. We look forward to strengthening our partnership with Turkish universities, promoting student and faculty exchanges, and collaborative research initiatives. Let us celebrate our shared heritage and commitment to progress, prosperity, and peace.”

Chief Guest Mr. Hasan Pehlivan, Regional Director Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, remarked:
“I am honored to be here today, celebrating the Republic Day of Türkiye with the academic community of Women University Mardan. Pakistan and Turkey share a strong bond, built on mutual respect and cooperation. We are committed to further strengthening our ties, particularly in education, trade, and culture.

The ceremony was organized under the supervision of Dr. Nelofar Ikram, Chief Organiser. Distinguished guests included Selman Altuntas, Incharge Dormitory (Hostel Warden); Syed Zaid Ali Shah, Student Affairs & Global Engagement; and representatives from Pak-Turk Maarif International Schools & Colleges, Main Hayatabad Boys Campus.

The event concluded with renewed commitment to strengthening academic and cultural ties between Pakistan and Türkiye, fostering greater collaboration and mutual understanding.
