Lahore: The Pakistan Markazi Muslim League (PMML) observed a “Youm e Tashakur” to acknowledge Pakistan’s role in facilitating the recent ceasefire between the United States and Iran, holding rallies in Lahore and several other cities.
Rallies were organized under the party’s banner in multiple areas, where participants raised slogans in favour of Pakistan and expressed appreciation for the country’s diplomatic efforts in promoting regional peace. Religious scholars also highlighted Pakistan’s role in their Friday sermons and offered special prayers for the success of ceasefire efforts.
In Lahore, a rally was held on Mall Road, led by PMML Lahore General Secretary Chaudhry Hameed-ul-Hassan Gujjar. Addressing the gathering, speakers commended the Government of Pakistan and the armed forces for what they described as a significant diplomatic achievement. They said Pakistan’s effective diplomacy has contributed to easing tensions in the Middle East and has brought a sense of pride and confidence to the nation.
Separately, speaking at a Friday congregation at Jamia Masjid Al-Qadsia, PMML Vice President Hafiz Abdul Rauf said that Pakistan has been blessed with stability and respect. He noted that the country is gaining increasing global attention and playing an important role in international affairs. He added that attempts to isolate Pakistan have not succeeded.
Rallies were also held in Kasur, Nankana Sahib, Bahawalnagar, Dera Ismail Khan, Pakpattan, Mor Khunda, Chichawatni and Lalian, where a large number of people participated. Attendees carried national flags and chanted slogans expressing solidarity and support for Pakistan.
