23 March has special significance for the Muslims of the subcontinent as on this day in 1940 a historical
resolution was passed in Lahore which finally resulted in the emergence of Pakistan. The present
freedom struggle in Kashmir is the continuation of that movement which was led by Quad Azam
Muhammad Ali Ginah for a separate homeland of the Muslims of the subcontinent. Pakistan is
incomplete without Kashmir as Quid Azam has termed Kashmir the jugular vein of Pakistan. This was
stated by Insaf party vice chairman and APHC AJK leader Muhmmad Sultan Butt in a statement in
Islamabad. While felicitating the Pakistani nation on Pakistan Day he said that Pakistan is a gift of
almighty Allah and Kashmiris pray for a peaceful, strong, and prosperous Pakistan. APHC leader said that
the current freedom movement is continuation of the Pakistan movement as Kashmiris not only
supported and buttressed the movement but also participated actively shoulder to shoulder in it.
He said that Pakistan would only complete when Kashmir would get freedom from Indian slavery and
accede to Pakistan. He said that Kashmiris and Pakistanis are one nation and their hearts throb in
unison. They are tied in strong religious, cultural, geographical, and historical bonds and no power on
earth can separate them as they are indispensable to each other. According to Indian independence
announced on 3rd June in 1947 by British viceRoy Kashmir was a natural part of Pakistan as it had 80
percent Muslim population and was adjacent to Pakistan. The then Kashmiris representative party of
Muslims All Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference passed a historical resolution and acceded to
Pakistan. He said that separating Kashmir from Pakistan was a deep-rooted conspiracy hatched by
British imperialists and Hindu leadership. M Sultan Butt said that becoming part of Pakistan is the dream
of Kashmiris and Kashmiris will accomplish this mission at all cost. He said that Pakistan is the benefactor
and real ambassador of Kashmiris and its unequivocal unflinching and unwavering support is the source
of strength and encouragement for oppressed Kashmiris. He thanked Pakistan for its consistent support
and hoped that Pakistan would not only continue its diplomatic, political, and moral support to
Kashmiris but would enhance its diplomatic efforts for the resolution of the Kashmir issue according to
the wishes of Kashmiris. He prayed for the stability of Pakistan and said that a strong Pakistan is
indispensable for the success of the Kashmir freedom movement.
Muhammad Sultan Butt greeted the Pakistani nation on Pakistan Day and said Pakistan is the only hope
for Kashmiris as it has consistently supported the Kashmir cause since its inception. Despite Indian
aggression on many occasions Pakistan remained steadfast and stood with Kashmiris like a solid rock. He
said that the principle and uncompromising stand of Pakistan has unnerved India and it is conspiring to
destabilize Pakistan. He prayed for the stability and progress of Pakistan and expressed hope that
Pakistan would expedite its efforts to highlight the Kashmir cause and expose Indian crimes in Kashmir.
He also reiterated the pledge that Kashmiris will continue its struggle till its logical end.
