AJK Investment Board and Pakistan Dubai Business Council after a full discussion reached an agreement for enlarged and diversified investment by the Business Council in AJK with priority to expand geographic tourism in the region.
The accord was signed by Sardar Amjid Jalil Chairman AJK Investment Board and Mr Saleem Zikria Executive Director Pakistan Business Council Dubai.
It is the first international investment initiative for AJK as per policies of PM Sardar Tanvir Ilyas khan. In the pursuance of MoU Signed between Azad Jammu and Kashmir Board of Investment (AJK-BOI) & Pakistan Business Council (PBC) Dubai on 21 March 2022.
The Chairman AJK-BOI Mr. Amjad Jalil visited UAE Dubai accompanied by Director AJK-BOI Mr. Ali Raza Naqvi and had a meeting with the Board of Directors of Pakistan Business Council Dubai on 8th of March, 2023.
Mutual points of interest were discussed in the meeting. The PBC Dubai ensured their valuable input in the upcoming investment policy of Azad Govt. of the State of Jammu and Kashmir.
Various investment potentials were shared with PBC members whereas the PBC extended their warm welcome to the Chairman AJK BOI, The Chairman AJK-BOI extended the invitation to the Board of Directors of Pakistan Business Council Dubai to visit Azad Jammu and Kashmir in June,2023.
Mr. Jalil further added that the Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Tanveer Ilyas is a visionary leader and very keen to make the AJK a welfare state by providing a conducive environment to the global business community especially focusing on Kashmiri expatriates. A big reform package inclusive of tax lucrative incentives would be given in the upcoming Investment policy of AJK. Mr. Saleem Zakaria executive Director PBC appreciated the seriousness of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Board of Investment in this regard, furthermore he ensured his full support to AJK Board of Investment in future endeavours.
