AJK govt. to promote tourism through paragliding: Tanvir

The Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Tanvir Ilyas Khan has said that the role of the private sector is extremely significant to explore the hidden potential of tourism in AJK.

He was addressing a ceremony in which a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between the Tourism Department AJK and Paragliding Association of Pakistan under which the association would set up a paragliding training school at AJK, while the state government would provide land for establishing the institute.

The Prime Minister said on the occasion that to attract the youth towards tourism, the government would provide full facilities to the private sector.

“The government of AJK would organize events for the promotion of skydiving and paragliding. The MoU would be very important in the progress of tourism in AJK”, the PM added.

He said that on the very next day after Eid, a paragliding festival would be held at Muzaffarabad with the name of “Eid kay Rang Kashmir kay sang” so that the people may get the opportunity of entertainment.

The PM said that to involve the young generation in tourism, the government would utilize all of its resources.

He also announced the holding of the international competition of Paragliding so that the players from round the globe may show their skills in AJK, which would make the region prominent for adventure sports.
