MUZAFFARABAD: Azad Kashmir Information Minister Mazhar Saeed Shah has tendered his resignation from the cabinet, citing unavoidable reasons behind his decision to step down from the post.

Addressing a press conference in Muzaffarabad, Mazhar Saeed formally announced his resignation, expressing gratitude to the media community and officials of the Information Department for their cooperation and support throughout his tenure.

He said his decision was made after careful consideration, emphasizing that he had always sought divine guidance in all matters of governance and public service. “Allah has guided us in every affair, including Operation Bunyan-ul-Marsus, and we have endeavored to fulfill our responsibilities in the best interest of the nation and the people,” he remarked.

Highlighting his efforts on the international front, the outgoing minister stated that he had represented the cause of Kashmir, alongside the issue of Gaza, before representatives of 45 countries across the world. He underscored that advocating for the rights of oppressed people remained a moral and national duty.

Mazhar Saeed Shah’s resignation marks a significant political development in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, coming at a time when the region’s political landscape continues to evolve amid various administrative and governance challenges.
