PM AJK inquires health of Sharif brothers, discuss latest situation of IOK

MUZAFFARABAD: Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan on Thursday made telephone calls to President PML-N Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif and Central Vice President of the party Maryam Nawaz Sharif. The Prime Minister inquired the health of both Sharif brothers and discussed with them the latest situation of Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and other matters of mutual interest. He also told both the leaders about the PML-N state government’s efforts to curb the coronavirus pandemic in the region and said that all out efforts are being made to minimize the sufferings of the common man. The Prime Minister said that PML-N government not only doubled the development budget of the state but also resolve the longstanding issues of the liberated area. Speaking on the occasion, both Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz strongly condemned the Indian atrocities on unarmed innocent Kashmiris and expressed completed solidarity with them. They also appreciated the effective measures taken by the PML-N AJK government to curtail the coronavirus in the region. Meanwhile, speaking at a function held in connection with the Youm-e-Takbeer, the Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan said that Strong and prosperous Pakistan in all manners including at defence and economic sectors is the guarantee to the freedom of Kashmir. He added that Youm-e-Takbeer commemorated every year on May 28 to mark the conduct of nuclear tests on the very day, in 1998, making seventh nuclear nation of the world and first Islamic state equipped with nuclear arsenal. Raja Farooq Haider Khan said that after conducting nuclear tests, defence of Pakistan became impregnable and the enemies could not dare to look towards it with bad intentions.
