Coronavirus pandemic claims 03 more lives in AJK

MUZAFFARABAD: Coronavirus pandemic has claimed 03 more lives in Azad Jammu and Kashmir here on Thursday. According to a press release of the health department, 02 of those who died of virus are from Muzaffarabad, and 01 from Neelum. Besides these deaths, 08 more tested positive for coronavirus pandemic in the state on the same day. 03 of new positive cases are from Muzaffarabad, 03 from Poonch, and 01 from Bhimber. Total 26098 tests of coronavirus pandemic have been conducted in AJK so far. There are 2073 confirmed cases in the state. 1639 affectees have been recovered and discharged whereas others are still receiving the treatment. Coronavirus pandemic has claimed 54 lives in AJK so far. 58 quarantine centers are currently functioning in the state. All the essential steps are being take place for controlling the spread of coronavirus. Doctors and health staff are continuously fighting at the frontline against coronavirus, the PR added.
