PESHAWAR: Honourable Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan appealed the people to take part in the tree plantation campaign across the country, saying Pakistan is the sixth most affected country by climate change in the world, Khyber Teaching Hospital, Khyber Medical College and Khyber College of Dentistry followed direction of the PM and organized plantation campaign.
The tree plantation campaign was inaugurated by BoG members Prof Dr Shahjahan, Dr Nadeem Alam & Saboor Sethi. On this occasion, Chief Executive KTH KMC KCD and Dean KMC Prof Dr Mahmud Aurangzeb, Dean KCD Prof Dr Syed Nasir Shah, Hospital Director Dr Tahir Nadeem Khan and Medical Director Prof Dr Amir Azhar along with managerial staffs planted the trees. Plantation campaign is started in three institutions which will plant about 300 to 500 saplings inside the institutions and also in the surrounding areas during this year.On the occasion, BoG members said that the institute is committed to provide best patient care and healthy environment.
The honourble members said that apart from patient care we should also contribute to the environment by planting trees. Recognizing the growing environmental concerns and climatic changes around the globe, the day was marked in continuation to commitment of the institutes towards ethical practices in health sector.Dean KMC Prof Dr Mahmud Aurangzeb gave BoG members round of the august institution Khyber Medical College and emphasized that we will regain the old glory and status of this college by the help of visionary BoG and hardworking.
