Allegedly, Imran Khan has agreed to talk with the Peoples Party’s leadership on forming of the government. In this regard the founder Chairman of PTI gave the task to the former Speaker of National Assembly to initiate dialogue with Zardari and in case possible talks between two political parties would get through and they agreed to form the federal government then the politics of PML(N) would go into doldrums.
Though the PTI top leadership has realized very late that the doors of the dialogue are never closed in politics. Imran Khan received enough punishment for not negotiating with other political powers. In the beginning, if he had shown willingness to sit on the negotiation table with at least one big political rival, then the state of affairs would have been different.
It is an old saying that the second name of politics is to compromise. Although the stance of Imran Khan is there, that he would not talk with the corrupt people, but according to him, in the past some leaders from PML(Q) were also involved in the corruption, if he had accepted them in his party, then there should not any harm to start dialogue process with the other elements.
Some people would call this move of PTI’s chief as a U-turn once again, but this time it seems that it would be in favour of national interest. Because the country is going through a difficult time. the economy is in deep waters and keeping out any political party from the mainstream at this juncture of time could be harmful for Pakistan.
Now it is a good omen for Pakistani politics that Imran Khan has recognized the importance of the dialogue process, if he would remain on the new line that he has just adopted, then not only his party would get good results, but also he can get some relief from the confinement that he is facing nowadays. While in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa PTI is ready to form the government with its former cohorts, who had formed a new party with the name Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf Parliamentarian.
With this initiative of starting dialogue, PTI has thrown the ball into the court of Pakistan People’s Party., which has increased the importance of PPP in the national politics as it has gained vital importance for both PTI as well as PML(N). Now PPP would put its weight on the side of whichever party, it would be successful to form federal government
If Zardari would accept PTI’s government making offer, then definitely the PML(N), who has made up his mind for forming the government in the center, would have to sit on the opposition benches, and most of its leaders would not accept this kind of situation.
Earlier, one more development was seen in the political scenario, when the former chief of ex ruling alliance PDM, Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman had announced to sit in the opposition as his party thought that there was some rigging in the polls. The political analysts took this decision with surprise as it is the track record of his party that it always remained in power. It looked like some authoritative circles did not want to give even the slot of opposition leader to PTI.
But with the PTI’s fresh move to start negotiation with PPP, the entire picture on the political stage of the country has been changed. Now it is up to the PPP to play their cards wisely and if it would share the government with PTY, then the dream of PML(N) would be shattered.
However, the current Chairman of PTI has denied that Khan has given green signal for the talks with PPP. But the JUI(F) also confirmed the contacts with PTI.
