According to ESPNCricinfo, Bismillah showed symptoms during Balochistan’s clash against Southern Punjab in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy second round and was not tested till the final day. He was substituted on the field by Adnan Akmal.

However, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) didn’t reveal the name of the individual. PCB in its statement said that after an individual tested positive, all 132 players, players support personnel and match officials taking part in the competition underwent tests and cleared as negative.

“The individual was shifted to a dedicated isolation room within the team hotel and the PCB-appointed doctors are monitoring his progress,” PCB.

All the individuals after negative results are eligible to feature in the third round action of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, starting on Friday, 6 November.

“The PCB understands domestic cricket is being played under difficult circumstances and fully appreciates the support of all involved, it is also appropriate that we remind all involved to religiously follow the PCB Covid-19 Protocols, which will guarantee their health and safety as well as all those around them,” PCB Director – High Performance, Nadeem Khan said.

On the other hand, nine Sindh players underwent tests before round-two as they experienced symptoms. All were tested negative, however, pacer Mir Hamza returned home.
