Commissioner Mirpur Chaudhary Shaukat Ali has directed the three Deputy Commissioners of Mirpur Division, Mirpur, Kotli and Bhimber to set up cheap markets for the public during Ramadan and ensure the availability of government flour to the people during Ramadan and especially ahead of Eid. All possible measures should be taken for the establishment of law and order and the removal of criminals, including illegal constructions and encroachments.
He expressed these views while addressing the meeting held through video link. Deputy Commissioner Mirpur Chaudhry Amjad Iqbal, Deputy Commissioner Bhimbar Mirza Arshad Jaral and Deputy Commissioner Kotli Chaudhry Haq Nawaz participated in the video link meeting.
Commissioner Chaudhry Shaukat Ali directed all the Deputy Commissioners that the Ramadan bazaars should be set up in every area to provide milk, vegetables, fruits, meat and other food items to the people at reasonable prices.
The official rate list should be displayed at every shop. They should be strictly instructed to supply government flour to the people at the government rate without any specifics. If any dealer violates the order, effective action should also be taken against him.
Commissioner also directed officials to eliminate corruption from society and strict action should be taken against the encroachment mafia, wherever illegal occupation and constructions are found on government land. Immediate eviction should be done and illegal constructions should be removed He further said that effective steps should be taken to make the law and order situation satisfactory
