ISLAMABAD: National indicators of the Covid-19 pandemic showed a slight increase during the past 24 hours, as the countrywide positivity ratio returned to more than 2% level after falling below it a day earlier, according to National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) on Wednesday.
The NCOC, the nerve centre of the country’s fight against the global pandemic, said in its daily update that around 43,578 tests were conducted across the country, while 1,021 people tested positive for the contagious disease. It added that the national Covid positivity ratio during the past 24 hours was 2.34%.
The forum said that there were 2,257 Covid patients under treatment in critical condition in various Covid-dedicated healthcare facilities of the country. During the past 24 hours, it added, 21 patients died due to the deadly virus.
