Transition of power from one party to another is beauty of a democratic setup. But, ousting the sitting Prime Minister before the completion of his tenure just for personal gains sets a stunk precedent. The situation becomes even worst if there are clues of foreign intervention behind the saga of sending the Prime Minister back to home. Pakistan is currently in the transition phase where the opposition parties have succeeded in sending the siting PM to home through no confidence motion.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) led federal government was spending its 4th year in the power when opposition parties joined hands together for bringing the no confidence motion again the PM. 12 parties came on same page against Imran Khan despite the fact that they all are having totally different manifestos. If we have a look on 03 key players of opposition which are Pakistan Peples Party (PPP), Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N), and Jamiat Ulma-e-Islam then we can find a clear line of ideological differences among all of them. Particularly, JUI-F and PPP are the two parties of two different extremes. PPP is party of left and JUI-F is of right. They both have history of rift between them. When Benazir Bhutto Shaheed became the Prime Minister then the same JUI-F gave the verdict that in Islam there is no space for a woman to govern. Maulana Fazl ur Rehman was the man who did not accept the government of Shaheed BB. Similarly, when it comes to PPP and PML-N there has been huge differences between these both the parties. They both have been alleging each other for corruption. But, they all forgot their past and united for their cause to de seat the PM.
Political crisis in the country has been ended. Opposition has been succeeded in its motive. The chaos like situation has come to its. But, a number of institutions, political figures, and other entities have been exposed badly during this saga. First of all the political parties exposed as they joined hands together for momentous gains. They forgot that they have different ideologies. They put all things aside and showed unity against the Prime Minister. After political parties, some sacred institutions of the country exposed by specially opening their doors for opposition in odd times. Lastly, the establishment has been exposed particularly due to the untold story of the happenings at Prime Minister House on the day when voting took place.
The prolonged discussion on the fact that either democracy is being practiced in the country or not has got a new point for discussion due to the current happening. The story which kept on revolving around the foreign intervention has been ended without any investigations in this regard. Imran Khan kept on asking the high ups to take the letter seriously. He even sent the letter to Supreme Court for getting the attention of the judges of Supreme Court. But, from establishment to the judges no body cared about the letter. Finally, Imran Khan has lost his seat. But, is it a democratic transition? Can we still say that democracy prevails in the country after the recent happening at PM House?
