Muzaffarabad: District Health Officer Muzaffarabad, Dr. Amir Shahzad Chaudhary, conducted an inspection of some district biotin setups in Muzaffarabad. During the inspection, a check was made on the products of Aulton Nutraceuticals company at one of the biotin setups. In reference to these products, a letter was written to the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) from the official DHQ office in Muzaffarabad on October 20, 2023. DRAP confirmed on October 20, 2023, that adulteration had occurred in these products, and the remaining products whose Form Number is not renewed as “8” and are not registered with DRAP, such as Tab.Caldit and Tab.Irotek, have been included.
Due to the non-registration of these products, a complete ban has been imposed within the district on the use of these unregistered products Tab.Caldit and Tab.Irotek, based on the DHQ office’s decision. Therefore, for the awareness of the public, it is informed that a complete ban has been imposed on the use of Aulton Nutraceuticals company’s two products, Tab.Caldit and Tab.Irotek, in the district of Muzaffarabad. Hence, the public should refrain from using these products as they pose a serious threat to human health.
