President Azad Jammu and Kashmir Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry has said that at this critical juncture of the Kashmir issue, efforts abroad should be accelerated, especially in the European Union.
The European Union is an important organization and it can play an important role for the solution of the Kashmir issue. The Kashmir Committee established in the European Parliament should be strengthened so that from this forum where efforts are made to resolve the Kashmir issue, it should also play its role in stopping the ongoing Indian atrocities in Occupied Kashmir.
President AJK said that I myself went to Belgium during my last visit to Europe where I had meetings with the European Members of Parliament, Members of the Belgian Senate and Members of Parliament in Brussels and gave them a detailed briefing on the Kashmir issue and the latest situation in Occupied Kashmir. Now the international community has started to understand the Kashmir issue.
He expressed these views in a detailed meeting with his Honorary Presidential Adviser for the European Union and Focal Person of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Belgium Chaudhry Naseer Ahmed at the President’s Kashmir House Islamabad today.
On this occasion, Honorary Presidential Advisor to the President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry for the European Union and Focal Person of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Belgium Chaudhry Naseer Ahmad asked the President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry to highlight the Kashmir issue in Belgium at various forums.
Belgium Chaudhry Naseer Ahmad invited the President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Barrister Sultan Mehmood Chaudhry to visit Belgium, which the President of the State accepted and said that he will visit Belgium at the appropriate time.
On this occasion, President Azad Jammu and Kashmir Barrister Sultan Mehmood Chaudhry instructed his Honorary Presidential Adviser for the European Union and Focal Person of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Belgium Chaudhry Naseer Ahmed to work hard to get support on the Kashmir issue in the European Union and the European Parliament.
