But electricity is becoming more expensive in Pakistan day by day, on one hand the people are worried about the expensive electricity, on the other hand due to the illegal over-billing of WAPDA employees, not only the people are worried but also the farmers who play the role of the backbone of Pakistan. They are also very worried.WAPDA employees knowingly bill millions of rupees by illegally adding extra units to people’s electricity bills. Which farmers and common people cannot pay at all. The common laborer, whose daily wages are so low that he cannot feed his family members, is forced to starve when he is billed thousands of rupees a month. Similarly, farmers who harvest their sown crops after four or five months, their savings are not so much, but their electricity bills are more than their income.Due to which the farmers have been forced to disconnect the electricity connection in the agricultural lands. Poor laborers are disconnecting their homes. But the luxury of employees of WAPDA department is at the peak. Even though electricity is expensive in the country and the production is less, the free electricity of WAPDA employees could not be stopped, they are being given free electricity worth billions of rupees every month, with which they not only run heaters, geysers, and ACs in their homes, but also other They illegally supply electricity to houses by stealing it and receive money in return. WAPDA employees are also involved in stealing electricity, without them electricity cannot be stolen۔But instead of shutting down the free electricity of these employees, the government was burdening the common people day by day. Instead of taking strict action against the stolen electricity operators, WAPDA employees cut their connection temporarily and connect the thieves on the next day and collect bribe. The people are being robbed from all sides and their rights are being robbed. Which is a severe violation of common people. If the WAPDA department is privatized and the free electricity of the employees is terminated, the theft of electricity in the country will also be reduced and the production will also be completed.Because WAPDA employees are involved in stealing electricity. The most important resource in Pakistan on which the country depends is agriculture, the government should provide farmers with cheap electricity and other agricultural commodities at cheap prices. But the government of Pakistan is increasing the difficulties for the farmers day by day through its bad policies. Thus, not only the stoves of the farmers are getting cold, but the foreign exchange reserves of the country are also decreasing. Due to non-availability of cheap electricity, people are starting to install solar, which is beneficial in the present era, but in the future, due to this solar, it will cause climatic damage.Therefore, the government should privatize the WAPDA department and stop the free electricity of the employees. While the employees of all other departments used to pay the electricity bill, why can’t WAPDA employees pay the bill? Common people and farmers protested many times across the country, but the illegal overbilling of lakhs of rupees could not be stopped. The government of Pakistan should take practical steps in this regard to eliminate over-billing and send the bill to the people only for the unit used. So that everyone can easily pay the electricity bill.The state of Pakistan should have mercy on the conditions of ordinary workers and not charge more electricity than their wages. And to ensure the supply of cheap electricity to the farmers so that they can get more production of agricultural commodities and play a better role for the betterment of the country’s economy. Providing cheap electricity and ending illegal over-billing will be a great favor of the government of Pakistan to the people.
