Surprisingly Iran ’s Pasdaran-i-Inqalab fired missiles on Pakistan’s territory near Panjgur in Baluchistan province, which is almost 50 to 60 km inside the border, late at night between Tuesday and Wednesday.
The Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry’s spokesperson condemned the attack in harsh words. She confirmed that two children were killed and four persons including a woman were injured in the attack . While Iran took a stance that she attacked a camp of terrorist outfit Jaish-Ul-Adl . According to Iran, the miscreant organization was allegedly involved in the double suicide attack on the memorial of Gen Qasim Sulamani at Kirman city some 15 days ago at 3rd January in which some 80 Iranian nationals were killed. Two days ago Iran also fired missiles on the land of Syria and Iraq’s land.
In response to the attack, Pakistan has called its ambassador posted in Tehran while it also forbade Irani Ambassador in Pakistan, who is in Iran nowadays, not to return to Islamabad until the situation is normalized. After the attack Pakistan also cancelled all the visits of high-ups to Tehran that were scheduled in coming days
Iran made the decision in haste to attack on Pakistan’s territory. If it thinks that any extremist group is involved in anti-Iran activities and in their opinion if there were any terrorists present on Pakistan’s soil, then it should inform Pakistan’s government through diplomatic means or at ministerial level. It should have handed over the documentary evidence against the terrorists for their involvement in the Kirman attack to Pakistani authorities. They should have been waiting for the action by Pakistan against these miscreants on the basis of these proofs.
Pakistan is already taking action against the menace of terrorism in two provinces that is Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Iran would have adopted the peaceful channel and provided proofs against any terrorist group, then there were no reasons that Pakistan would have taken measures against it.
At this important juncture when Israel is showing barbarism against the Philistine by razing the city of Gaza, the Muslim countries should have been united to stop Israel but contrary to that they are attacking each other’s territory without adopting proper channels.
The irresponsible conduct of Iran to attack on Pakistan’s land suddenly would give a chance to India to make propaganda against Pakistan that the terrorists hide themselves in Pakistan. Now India could say that Iran’s attack had verified its stance.
Iran should realize the seriousness of the matter as it has opened many fronts simultaneously against its Muslim neighbors at this time, when unity among the Muslim Ummah is much needed. The hastily conducted missile attack by Iran on Pakistan, Syria and Iraq would add the problems of Muslim Ummah. This would also destroy the Kashmir and Philistine causes.
Another regional power China also advised both Pakistan and Iran to constrain their anger against each other. This matter should be stopped at this point otherwise if Pakistan would show any imprudent behavior to avenge the attack, then the region could face another crisis.
Though Pakistan has full rights to retaliate the assault against its sovereignty but it should keep calm as if Pakistan takes the retaliation, the matter would be gone beyond control as there are many international and regional anti Islam elements who are sitting ready to add fuel to the fire. It would not only disturb the regional peace but two Muslim states would come in front of each other, which would cause harm to the Muslim world too and last but not the least Pakistan Iran relations could be damaged for a long time.
