Kashmiri pays tribute to July 13th martyrs

Muzaffarabad: Kashmiri people living on both sides of the Cease Fire Line, Pakistan and all over the world observed Kashmir Martyrs’ Day with devotion and respect.

According to details, a rally was organized in connection with Martyrs’ Day in collaboration with Pasban-e Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir alongwith International Forum for Justice and Human Rights.

The rally was started from Gharipan Chowk to Burhan Wani Chowk to pay homage to the martyrs of Kashmir who were martyred by the Dogra soldiers in Srinagar on July 13th, 1931.

A large number of citizens including youth and senior citizens participated in the rally by wearing symbolic shrouds of their names.

Participants raised loud slogans in favor of the martyrs of July 13 and other martyrs of Kashmir freedom movement.

The rally was led by chairman Pasban-e-Hurriyat Uzair Ahmed Ghazali, Vice Chairman of International Forum for Justice Mushtaq-ul-Islam, Vice Chairman Pasban-e-Hurriyat Usman Ali Hashim, Leader of Pakistan People’s Party Shaukat Javed Mir, Social Leader Azmat Hayat Kashmiri, Muhammad Aslam Inqalabi, Muhammad Shafiq Inqalabi, Muhammad Tanveer Durrani and others.

While addressing the rally, the speakers said that despite the passage of 92 years, the Kashmiri people have not forgotten the martyrs of July 13, 1931, who sacrificed their lives for the defence of Islamic rituals, freedom of rights and justice from Dogra imperialism.

“On this day, the people of the state of Jammu and Kashmir pay homage to these great martyrs”, speakers stated.

They said that the people of Jammu and Kashmir have been facing the worst oppression and terrorism of Hindutva since 1931.

The participants of the rally reiterated their determination to continue the struggle till the completion of the sacred mission of the martyrs of 13th July.

The speakers added that the people of the state of Jammu and Kashmir will remember the sacrifices of the martyrs of Kashmir.

“July 13th is a day to renew commitment to fulfill the unfinished mission of martyrs”, speakers added.

People in the rally demanded the international human rights organizations to work and raise voice for the provision of religious, social and Human rights in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
