The ruling party PML(N) is addicted to personal publicity of its leaders at the cost of national exchequer and even after remaining in power for several years, the party could not leave this corrupt practice rather it is concreted with the passage of time.
This time the bags containing the special Ramazan package initiated by the Punjab government have the picture of PML(N) supremo Nawaz Sharif. This personal promotional campaign on the public money is also a corruption which could not be seen in any other country of the world.
Whether the party distributes laptops to students or give soft loans to youngsters and provide ration to the needy persons at subsidized rates but they exhibit the pictures of their top leadership which belongs to the one family only.
The PML(N) have also an old and bad habit of naming the different projects in the name of their leaders, which have been completed during their tenure. If you look, you will see the public parks, sports complexes, schools and roads are in the name of the top leadership of PML(N) in almost every city of Punjab.
This shows how hungry is the leadership of PML(N) for the cheap fame that also depicts the lower mentality of the top leadership. As a matter of fact, they utilize the public fund on any project or any welfare deed, If they are fond of the personal advertisement, then they should use money from their own pocket instead of the national exchequer.
The political analysts are of the opinion first of all PML(N) promotes nepotism to the last extent as there is no one in the party outside one family who can be trusted for either to hold the office in the party or in the government. Now after doling out all the top positions to one family in the party as well as the government they are using public money to gain private recognition which is also an exploitation.
The party is also making the media dishonest for their personal sake by floating colourful advertisement campaigns on inauguration of any project or any little work that portrays the big photographs of the one family leaders. The cost of hundreds of billions is paid from public money for these special drives.
By following the footsteps of PML(N), other political parties are too exposing the fake performance of their leaders. There is only one leader in the country, the founder chairman of a political party, who is in jail nowadays, who neither promoted inherited politics nor emphasized on individual elevation.
This trend of personal profile-raising should be eliminated now and the name of the national projects should not be kept in the name of political leadership. The parliament should make such legislation that may put a ban on specific promotion to create the false image of political leadership in the eyes of the people.
Now we are living in the era of social media as each and every person knows very well that what is wrong and what is right so the hoodwinking the people through personal uplift from public money should be stopped
