The internet got stunned by Ellen DeGeneres’ most recent purchase. In Carpinteria, a coastal community in Santa Barbara County, the well-known TV talk show host and her wife, Portia de Rossi, spent a record $70 million for an estate.
Ellen and Portia, who got married in 2008, allegedly bought two residences next to each other in a posh beachside neighbourhood in California.
The first property got purchased by the couple for $41.7 million. Siteline Santa Barbara claims that it has a mansion in the Tuscan farmhouse style on 3.4 acres.
The neighbouring second property is worth $28.2 million. Large lawns and a lake may be found on the unoccupied 6.6-acre parcel of land.
According to the rumours, Ellen and Portia may have shattered the Santa Barbara record for the most expensive residential transaction.
According to Dirt.com, the previous extravagant property record was achieved two years ago when millionaire Riley Bechtel purchased a $63 million mansion.
