MUZAFFARABAD: Telenor tower controllers across Azad Jammu and Kashmir are being sealed as the tax issue between Telenor and the government of Azad Jammu and Kashmir could not be resolved.
According to detail, the cellular company was served notice from Inland Revenue for not paying Rs. 2.85 billion income tax. Commissioner Inland Revenue took action and sealed the towers of Telenor in Mirpur and asked the company to pay the tax as soon as possible. But, the company failed to pay tax yet. Resultantly, the service of Telenor has been suspended in Rawalakot, Sudhanoti, Bagh, and Kotli. Whereas, the service of Telenor has been partially suspended in Muzaffarabad, Mirpur, and Bhimber.
Suspension of Telenor service has irked the citizens. They have demanded from the high ups to resolve this matter soon for restoration of the service.
