The National Accountability Bureau has summoned the PTI chief Imran khan on march 9th in the toshakhana case.
The NAB Rawalpindi has issued summons to the head of PTI hours after chairman NAB Aftab Sultan resigned from his post due to personal reasons.
The notice that was served to Khan wrote: “The competent authority has taken cognizance of an offence allegedly committed by the accused persons under the provisions of NAO, 1999.”
The inquiry that was initiated has revealed that during Khan’s rule as PM he has retained some state gifts presented to him from various foreign officials and rulers.
The accountability watchdog has asked the former premier to appear before the investigation team at its Islamabad office on March 09 and record his statement.
It is pertinent to mention that NAB has taken notice of alleged non-disclosure of actual value of gifts received by former PM, his wife and other ministers.
