ISLAMABAD: The Executive Chairman MTBC Mehmood ul Haq called on Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Sardar Abdul Qayyum Niazi here on Wednesday, and briefed the Prime Minister about the ongoing projects of his organization.
The Prime Minister on this occasion lauded the role of MTBC in creating employment opportunities. He said that the government is working on a comprehensive developmental oriented programme to overcome unemployment and a policy for the promotion of tourism is also being prepared to boost tourism in the state. The investments of IT companies in AJK will help in eradicating the curse of unemployment. It will also help in resolving the issues related to economy, he added.
While briefing the Prime Minister, Chairman MTBC said that his organization is currently the largest private company in Azad Kashmir and providing employment to thousands of people. He offered to hand over the obsolete old properties to MTBC under public-private partnership; the company would renew them, which would create more employment opportunities. MTBC will shortly launch a comprehensive visit to Kashmir programme to boost tourism in the state. In this connection Helicopter and Kashmir Air line would be set up to facilitate the tourists to visit different places of Azad Kashmir to help boost the domestic and international tourism in the state, he added.
