Muzaffarabad: The Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Syed Bazil Ali Naqvi, has stated that the desecration of the Holy Quran in Sweden is condemnable and shameful.
In his special statement, Syed Bazil Ali Naqvi said that the purpose of such acts of disrespect towards the Holy Quran is to instigate grief, anger, and turmoil among Muslims. He stated that causing distress to Muslims reflects the sick mentality of Western leaders.
He further mentioned that Muslims worldwide are protesting vehemently against the desecration of the Holy Quran in Sweden, and protesters outside the Swedish embassy in Iran expressed their strong opposition to this inflammatory incident.
Muslim countries, including Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Turkey, have strongly condemned this incident. He emphasized that European countries should understand that Muslims have a profound love for the Holy Quran and cannot tolerate its desecration.
He said that Muslim countries should collectively devise practical measures to prevent such incidents and the Islamic Conference organization should take the lead. Syed Bazil Ali Naqvi said that it is not permissible to hurt anyone’s religious sentiments, as it goes against international law, and all countries should take this into consideration.
