Muzaffarabad: Minister of Azad Kashmir Dr. Nasir Ansar Abdali held a meeting with the Program Advisor of the Democratic Governance Unit of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) inPakistan, Muhammad Qasim Janjua.
The meeting discussed the strengthening the elected representatives of Azad Kashmir, addressing climate change issues, development and progress in various regions of Azad Kashmir.
During the meeting, both sides emphasized the ways and means to deal with events like boat incident in Greece and ensuring the protection of individuals in such situations.
The UNDP representatives assured AJK minister of further empowerment, strengthening, and their full cooperation for better governance. The meeting emphasized joint efforts and mutual cooperation to tackle climate change challenges.
The UNDP representatives and the government minister, Dr. Nasir Ansar Abdali, recognized the importance of building confidence in democratic representation, strengthening the administrative structure, and the need for comprehensive and transparent electoral processes that uphold the principles of democracy and ensure the protection of voters’ rights in Azad Kashmir.
On this occasion, Minister Dr. Nasir Ansar Abdali expressed gratitude for the cooperation from the UNDP. The UNDP representatives stated that Dr. Nasir Ansar Abdali had rendered excellent services as the Minister of Health in Azad Kashmir.
