Rawalpindi: Punjab Arts Council organized Photographic exhibition and walk in connection with Kashmir Solidarity Day. General Secretary of All Party Hurriyat Conference Azad Kashmir and Pakistan Chapter Sheikh Abdul Mateen and Information Secretary of All Party Hurriyat Conference Azad Kashmir and Pakistan Chapter Imtiaz Wani. Sheikh Abdul Mateen said that worst atrocities in Occupied Kashmir have exposed the real face of India in front of the whole world and the examples of such worst atrocities are rare in human history.
The conflict with the anti-Kashmir cruel policies of the Hindutva government of India has not changed the reality of Kashmir. He further said that dream of world peace can never be fulfilled without the freedom of Occupied Kashmir. He said that till today millions of Kashmiris have sacrificed their lives for freedom and the only demand of Kashmiris is that they should be given the right to self-determination. Secretary Information All-Party Hurriyat Conference Azad Kashmir and Pakistan Branch Imtiaz Wani said that the entire humanity is ashamed of Indian atrocities on the Kashmiri people and it is a disgraceful stain on human history and conscience, so every Pakistani and every peaceful person in the world should raise their voice for the right of self-determination of the Kashmiri people.
The Muslim Ummah and the United Nations should play their role in resolving the Kashmir issue. Director Arts Council Waqar Ahmed said that Pakistan has always strongly supported the right of self-determination of Kashmiris at the political, moral and diplomatic level. It is Pakistan’s principled position that the Kashmir issue should be resolved according to the wishes of the Kashmiri people under the UN resolutions. A minute’s silence was observed to express solidarity with the oppressed Kashmiris. The flags of Pakistan and Azad Kashmir were hoisted in the ceremony.
Tableaus, Speech and Kashmiri song competitions were organized with the support of All Pakistan Private Schools Management Association on the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day. Eagle Public School won the first position, Ames School System got the second position, Alfarooq Public School got the third position and Green Valley School got the fourth position in the tableau competitions. Masooma, Tahnia Abid, Sahar Fatima and Sair secured the first, second, third and fourth positions respectively in the speech competitions. Miva came first, Shayan came second, Ayesha came third and Iman Fatima came fourth in the Kashmiri songs competitions. A large number of people from twin cities participated in the Kashmir Solidarity Day rally.
