MCCI for promoting trade, addressing community concerns

MARDAN :On the special invitation of President Mardan Chamber of Commerce and Industry Zahir Shah Commissioner Mardan Division Shaukat Ali Yousafzai and Deputy Commissioner Mardan Muhammad Fayaz Khan Sherpao visited chamber office and met the business community. Senior Vice President, Vice President, Members Executive Committee MCCI, Central Organization Tajran Mardan, Takht Bhai, Katlang, Rustam Presidents and Secretary General of various markets besides officials and members of Mardan Press Club participated in large numbers. President Mardan Chamber Zahir Shah warmly welcomed the guests upon their arrival at the chamber highlighted the establishment aims and objectives of the chamber in detail, said that the establishment of the chamber came into being three decades ago and it went through various stages of development today is providing services to the businessmen and industrialists of Mardan in a luxurious building. He said that Mardan is the second largest district of Khyber Pukhtunkhwa where there are a number of business opportunities. Mardan Chamber is playing its role in promoting business at regional, national and international level for the promotion of trade. Along with this, various memorandums of understanding have been signed to promote trade with different countries and to introduce the products of this region to foreign markets, due to which, Mardan Chamber has made successful trade visits to different countries, including America, where the entire province was represented by Mardan Chamber, to Ukraine, Schengen countries and Central Union countries, which have achieved substantial benefits. Apart from this, he said that in connection with the production of green energy a Ukrainian company was contacted to introduce the same in Khyber Pukhtunkhwa and especially in Mardan for which we have submitted a proposal to the provincial government which is still under process. He said that the businessman of Mardan who contributing to the country’s economy also facing various problems, including street light system, chaotic traffic system and route determination, poor drainage system in various markets in detail about the spread of dirt and different types of diseases and also proposed joint solutions, on which the Commissioner Mardan Division and DC Mardan thanked President Zahir Shah for the invitation for visit to chamber and assured that they will try their best to solve all the problems of the business community on a priority basis because the business community of Mardan has always been cooperative with local administration at every stage and it is the responsibility of the state to provide all kinds of facilities to its traders and people, because traders are the backbone of a country’s economy, which changes the destinies of nations and God willing the traders of Mardan will find us together in solving their problems. He said that the doors of our offices are open for all you traders. The guests said that very soon the encroachments in Mardan will be removed, parking will be established which will improve the traffic system significantly. The guests added that it is also our first priority to ensure the supply of affordable commodities to the traders and people of Mardan and it is a matter of great pleasure for us that our Mardan is the first in the entire province in controlling inflation. Addressing the participants they said that no work can be completed without the support of your people to which President Mardan Chamber Zahir Shah assured full support from his side. At the end of the gathering Mardan Chamber President Zahir Shah thanked Mardan Division Commissioner Shaukat Ali Yousafzai and Mardan Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Fayyaz Khan Sherpao on behalf of the Chamber of Commerce by presenting the chamber shield and various gifts.
