Kashmir: Ghulam Ahmad Gulzar, a senior member of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference, claimed that Muslims in Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir are being systematically wiped out by the fascist Indian government led by Narendra Modi.
In a statement released in Srinagar, Ghulam Ahmad Gulzar claimed that butcher Modi had turned IIOJK into a slaughter ground where Indian troops were killing unarmed civilians with impunity. He regretted that the Hindutva ideology of the Modi administration is being imposed in the conquered region by stomping on everything. The Modi regime is driven by the haughtiness of power.
“Indian army’ favourite past time and lucrative industry is killing innocent Kashmiris. Personnel from the dreaded Indian military are razing buildings to the ground. On bogus charges, thousands of Kashmiris, including Hurriyat leaders and regular citizens, are languishing in Indian prisons. Property belonging to pro-freedom leaders is being seized for a variety of reasons. The goal of all these coercive tactics, he claimed, is to intimidate the Kashmiris who value freedom into surrender.
Ghulam Ahmed Gulzar made it obvious that no legitimate fight could be put down by the use of force, as history attests. He claimed that the day when truth will triumph over lies and Kashmiris will free themselves from enslavement was not far off.
The leader of the APHC stated that in the current dire situation, in which the entire occupied Kashmir has been transformed into a prison and millions of Kashmiris are constantly under siege, every square inch of the territory is dot with troops and bunkers, and Kashmiris are living under the shadow of Indian guns, it is the responsibility of the Kashmiri diaspora to launch a campaign to expose India’s ugly face to the entire world. He praised the contributions made by Kashmiris and Pakistanis who reside overseas and expressed the hope that they would step up their efforts to inform the international community of the suffering of the inhabitants of IIOJK.
Moreover, Ghulam Ahmed Gulzar praised Pakistan for vehemently bringing up the Kashmir question at the UN and other international fora. He claimed that by referring to Modi as the murderer of Gujarat, Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has earned the hearts of Muslims in Kashmir and India who are fighting against Hindutva terrorism in its most blatant form.
Muhammad Sultan Butt, the leader of the APHC-AJK chapter, made an appeal to the international community to compel India to end its state terrorism in IIOJK. He paid heartfelt homage to the other martyrs of the Kashmir liberation fight as well as the three Kashmiri youngsters who were recently killed by Indian troops in Shopian. He also expressed his gratitude to Pakistan for lending its unwavering support to the legitimate struggle for self-determination of the Kashmiris.
